Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 2 Arrives January 28th
Treyarch has officially announced the launch date for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 2: Tuesday, January 28th. Season 1, which began November 14th, will have run for a substantial 75 days, making it one of the longest seasons in Call of Duty history.
While specifics on Season 2's content remain under wraps, anticipation is high. The exceptionally successful launch of Black Ops 6, boasting record player numbers in its first month, has recently seen a dip, attributed to issues like cheating in Ranked Play and ongoing server problems. The community hopes the new season's additions will revitalize the game.
Season 2 Launch Date Confirmed
The Season 2 launch date was revealed in a recent Black Ops 6 update. While addressing Zombies mode fixes in the January 9th patch notes, Treyarch mentioned certain improvements slated for the next season, confirming its January 28th release. A detailed blog post unveiling the full Season 2 content is expected soon.
Season 1 delivered a wealth of new content: multiplayer maps, modes, weapons, and events, significantly impacting Warzone. The integration of Black Ops 6 into Warzone introduced a revamped movement system, new weapons, major gameplay changes, and the Area-99 Resurgence map. The return of popular maps like Nuketown and Hacienda from Black Ops 4 further enhanced the experience.
Although details are scarce, Treyarch has hinted at more classic map remasters for Season 2. In a December interview, Associate Creative Director Miles Leslie stated that no Black Ops map is excluded from remaster consideration, though original maps remain a priority.
