Pokémon GO Fest 2025: A Global Celebration
The Pokémon GO Fest 2025 will be a three-day extravaganza held across three international cities:
- Osaka, Japan: May 29 - June 1
- Jersey City, New Jersey, USA: June 6 - June 8
- Paris, France: June 13 - June 15

A World of Pokémon Awaits
Pokémon GO Fest is renowned for its exclusive items, unique gameplay, and boosted rewards. In-person events offer a truly immersive experience with city-specific features. Ticket purchase is required for both in-person and online participation.
Expect rare Pokémon encounters not typically found in standard gameplay—think along the lines of Dusk Mane Necrozma, Dawn Wings Necrozma, and Marshadow (as seen in 2024). Shiny Pokémon will also have increased appearance rates, varying by location to reflect their natural habitats.
In-person attendees can look forward to exclusive merchandise, habitat-themed goodies, community hubs, and team lounges for socializing with fellow trainers. While complete details are still under wraps, expect a similar format to previous years.
January Events: Fashion Week and Shadow Raid Day
Beyond the Pokémon GO Fest announcement, Niantic revealed two exciting January events:
- Fashion Week: Taken Over: January 15th (12:00 pm) – January 19th (8:00 pm) local time. Rescue Shadow Palkia from Team GO Rocket and Giovanni! Shroodle and Grafaiai debut, hatching from 12 km Eggs. Other Shadow Pokémon will appear, and keep an eye out for a fashionable Croagunk in snapshots!
- Shadow Raid Day (Ho-Oh): January 19th (2:00 pm – 5:00 pm) local time. Tackle Five-Star Shadow Raids for a chance to catch Shadow Ho-Oh! A $5 ticket grants eight extra Raid Passes, increased Rare Candy XL chances, 2x Stardust, and a 50% XP boost from Raids. Shiny Ho-Oh will have increased appearance rates, and lucky trainers can teach their Ho-Oh the signature move, Sacred Fire, using a Charged TM.
