Sword Art Online Variant Showdown Returns After Extended Maintenance!
Remember SAOVS, Bandai Namco's action RPG launched in November 2022? After an unexpectedly long "never-ending maintenance" period that began in September 2023, SAOVS is back! While initially slated to return this summer (2024), the developers took extra time to address core functionality issues.
What's New in the Re-released SAOVS?
The game relaunches with Battle Royal Season 1, a four-player arena battle where the player with the most knockouts wins. Participate in League Matches to earn titles and accessories. This season runs until December 30th.
Returning players who stayed loyal during the maintenance receive a gift: 5 Sword Spark Mito Pickup Scout Tickets!
A Restart Celebration event is underway, offering up to 100 free Scouts, login bonuses, and mission rewards. This event continues until January 30th, 2025.
Players also have a chance to obtain the SSR Sword Spark Mito (Light-elemental fighter), and new SSR Ability Cards, 'Destroyer of Destiny' and 'Seasoned Comrades,' available until January 6th, 2025.
