This digital application provides swift access to the scholarly works and biographies of prominent figures within a specific religious sect.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Technological advancements have become indispensable in modern life. To keep pace with this progress and global cultural exchange, while preserving its rich scholarly heritage and expanding its reach, this application was developed. The Heritage Revival Center at the al-Abbas's shrines houses a significant collection of scholarly works that, despite their importance, have not received the widespread attention they deserve in terms of publication, though individual efforts have been made over the centuries.
This application presents this valuable collection in a digital format, accessible to scholars and enthusiasts alike. It aims to facilitate the study of the sect's scholars and their contributions, providing easy access to their biographies and writings.
The application offers the book in three formats:
- A text-based format closely mirroring the original publication.
- A digital version of the printed book.
- A unique feature providing access to a manuscript copy written by the author. This allows users to verify any suspected typographical errors, addressing inconsistencies found in previously published versions.
This application, despite its simplicity, offers several key advantages for researchers:
- Independent access to each of the three book formats.
- Search functionality across the entire encyclopedia or within specific sections (standard and advanced search options).
- Text copying and sharing capabilities.
- Printing options for all three formats.
- Simultaneous viewing of the text and printed versions, with zoom functionality and page linking between windows.
- Indices of translators (both individual volumes and the entire encyclopedia), with searchable functionality.
- Bookmarking capabilities for all three formats.
- Note-taking and commenting features for all three formats.
In conclusion, we express our gratitude to all who contributed to the creation of this application, including the invaluable work of Sheikh Agha Buzurk al-Tharani (may Allah have mercy on him) in typesetting, editing, and printing earlier versions, those who preserved the manuscript copy, and the team responsible for developing this digital application. May Allah reward them all abundantly.
