Players assume the role of survivors in this post-apocalyptic world. To safeguard their homes and the remaining human population, they must construct a multi-layered defensive base. Strategic placement of defense towers is crucial for fortifying the base and protecting the survivors.
At the start of each level, players are presented with an 8x8 grid representing the play area and the monsters' predetermined path to the target. Players must utilize puzzle-piece shaped wall fragments to create a path that funnels monsters through their defensive towers, leading to their demise. The ultimate objective is to successfully defend the home from waves of relentless attacks.
The home's location is fixed for each level. Players can strategically position the puzzle pieces anywhere on the grid, but must ensure at least one open space remains in each row.
Each level consists of six waves of increasingly challenging monsters. At the beginning of each level, players choose one of two available tower cards. Once selected, the card appears in the same area as the puzzle pieces, ready for strategic placement before the wave begins. After each wave, players can select additional cards, including two types of tower cards and a stat card that enhances all defensive towers.
