CPU-Z: A Comprehensive Android Device Information App
CPU-Z, a popular PC CPU identification tool, now offers a free Android version. This application provides detailed information about your Android device's hardware and software. It offers a wealth of data, including:
- System-on-a-Chip (SoC) details: Name, architecture, and clock speed for each core.
- System information: Device brand and model, screen resolution, RAM, and storage capacity.
- Battery information: Level, status, temperature, and capacity.
- Sensor information: A list of your device's sensors.
Requirements and Permissions:
- Android Version: Requires Android 2.2 or higher (version 1.03 and above).
- Permissions: Requires INTERNET permission for online validation and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE for statistics gathering.
Online Validation (version 1.04 and above):
The online validation feature allows you to store your device's specifications in a database. Following validation, a URL is opened in your default browser. Optionally, you can provide your email address to receive a validation link reminder.
Settings and Debugging (version 1.03 and above):
A settings screen appears if CPU-Z unexpectedly closes. This screen allows you to disable certain detection features to improve stability.
