Starting today, Dell is offering an incredible deal on the Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC, now equipped with the new GeForce RTX 5080 GPU for just $2,399.99 shipped. This is one of the most competitive prices available for a prebuilt system featuring the RTX 5080, especially given the steady price increases seen across other brands since the RTX 50 series launch in January. At Dell, the next cheapest option with an RTX 5080 GPU is over $4,000. If you're considering a DIY build, finding a standalone RTX 5080 GPU could cost as much as this fully assembled system.

This Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC comes packed with an Intel Core Ultra 7 265F CPU, a GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, 16GB of DDR5-5200MHz RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The Intel Core Ultra 7 265F Meteor Lake CPU, with its max turbo frequency of 5.3GHz, 20 cores, and 30MB cache, is cooled by a robust 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler. The system is powered by a reliable 1,000W 80PLUS Platinum power supply.
The RTX 5080 is one of the three new Blackwell graphics cards that have hit the market, and they're nearly impossible to find. In our Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 FE review, Jackie notes, "If you already have a high-end graphics card from the last couple of years, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 might not be the best upgrade – it doesn't significantly outperform the RTX 4080, though the extra frames from DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation do enhance gameplay in supported titles. However, for gamers with older graphics cards looking for a substantial performance boost, the RTX 5080 delivers – especially if you're keen on Nvidia's AI enhancements."

New for 2025: The Alienware Area-51 Chassis
Dell unveiled the new Alienware Area-51 gaming PC at CES 2025. The chassis design is similar to the 2024 R16 system but features minor aesthetic and cooling redesigns, along with updated components. The I/O panel is now positioned at the top of the case instead of the front, and the tempered glass window extends across the entire side panel. Air intakes are located at the bottom and front of the case, promoting a positive airflow design that helps keep the interior less dusty. All internal components have been refreshed, including a new motherboard, faster RAM, and a more powerful power supply to support the latest generation of CPUs and RTX 50 series GPUs.
RTX 5080 and 5090 GPUs Are Sold Out Everywhere
The first wave of Nvidia GeForce RTX 50-series graphics cards sold out within an hour of preorders opening. The RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 were the first to be released, followed by the RTX 5070 Ti in February. Prebuilt gaming PCs with these GPUs have similarly faced quick sell-outs, price increases, or extended delivery delays.
