Jonathan Dumont, Creative Director, has revealed that completing Assassin's Creed Mirage's main story will take approximately 30-40 hours. Adding in all optional content could double that playtime, resulting in a total of roughly 60-80 hours. This estimate comes from an interview with journalist Genki, offering players a clearer picture of the game's time commitment.
Dumont previously compared Mirage to earlier titles like Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla. However, given the significant length variations between those games, this comparison proved less helpful. Acknowledging the challenges of estimating playtime in open-world games, Dumont clarified that Mirage shares a similar scope to Origins. According to HowLongToBeat.com, Origins requires around 30 hours for the main story and upwards of 80 hours for completionists.

For players wary of excessively long games, Mirage offers a more balanced experience. In contrast, Valhalla received criticism for its lengthy 60-hour main story and potential for a staggering 150-hour playthrough. If Dumont's projections hold true, Mirage provides a more manageable yet richly rewarding journey.
Mark your calendars: Assassin's Creed Mirage launches March 20th on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
