While *Avowed*'s Living Lands feel vast, the main quest is surprisingly concise. Curious about what awaits after the credits roll? Here's the post-game breakdown for Obsidian's latest RPG.
Does *Avowed* Have New Game Plus?
Many RPG players relish replaying the main quest on higher difficulties with acquired skills and gear. Unfortunately, Avowed currently lacks this feature. While not available at launch, a New Game Plus mode could be added via future updates or DLC, especially given player demand.
However, even without New Game Plus, replayability exists. Avowed's branching narrative and diverse character builds offer compelling reasons for a fresh playthrough, exploring alternate endings and playstyles.
Does *Avowed* Have Endgame Content?

Avowed features four main regions, a secret final area, and a return to a major city (details withheld to avoid spoilers). Legendary-quality weapons and gear become crucial in these challenging final areas. However, this late-game difficulty doesn't carry over to earlier regions, and no new areas unlock post-completion. This means you can't revisit the Living Lands to see how your choices impacted them.
What You Can Do After Beating *Avowed*
Avowed's post-game is relatively limited due to the absence of New Game Plus and endgame content. Upon finishing the final encounter, you'll see extended cutscenes illustrating the consequences of your choices. Afterwards, you're returned to the main menu.
From there, you can start a new game or reload a previous save. Autosaves are available before the point of no return and the final encounter, allowing for replaying these sections with different choices and experiencing alternative story outcomes.
Reloading to a point before the point of no return also lets you revisit earlier regions. This allows for map completion, achievement hunting, side quest finishing, and collecting missed items. Importantly, enemies in these earlier regions won't scale to your level, making a return trip with powerful gear highly advantageous.
That's the post-game experience in Avowed.
Avowed is available now on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Game Pass.
