Bug Out Event Returns with Sizzlipede Debut in Pokémon Go

Author : Violet Apr 19,2025

The Bug Out event is making a thrilling return to Pokémon Go, set to run from March 26th to 30th. This event promises an exciting lineup of Bug-type Pokémon, including the debut of Sizzlipede and its evolution, Centiskorch. Get ready for a packed schedule of wild encounters, raids, bonuses, and new challenges that will keep you engaged throughout the event.

Lure Modules will be your best friend during the Bug Out event. Not only will they attract Sizzlipede, but if you manage to catch enough Pokémon using a single Lure Module at a PokéStop, you'll see an increase in Pokémon appearances. This is your chance to maximize your catches and make the most out of your time in the game.

You'll also benefit from earning 2x XP and extra Candy for Nice Throws or better, with an increased chance of receiving Candy XL for trainers level 31 and above. If you're on the hunt for Shiny Pokémon, you'll be pleased to know that the odds of encountering Shiny Wurmple and Shiny Venipede are higher during this event.

Expect to see a swarm of Bug-types in the wild, including frequent appearances from Caterpie, Weedle, Wurmple, Nincada, Venipede, Dwebble, Joltik, Grubbin, Dewpider, and Nymble. Keep your eyes peeled for the rare Cutiefly, which might just make an appearance if luck is on your side.

Sizzlipede will be featured in one-star raids alongside Scyther and Nincada, while Beedrill, Scizor, and Kleavor will dominate the three-star raids. Completing event-themed Field Research tasks will reward you with Mega Energy, Scatterbug Candy, and encounters with event Pokémon, adding even more value to your gameplay.

Don't miss out on the free Timed Research opportunity, which includes encounters with Shedinja, Sizzlipede, Kleavor, and more, along with a Lure Module. For those looking for extra rewards, there's a Paid Timed Research option available for $2 or the local equivalent, offering encounters with Heracross, Sizzlipede, and Kleavor, plus two Premium Battle Passes and an additional Lure Module.

New Collection Challenges will reward you with Stardust, XP, and Pokémon encounters, while PokéStop Showcases will highlight event-themed Pokémon. Make sure to check out the in-game shop for the new Sizzlipede Boots and a Scolipede Jacket to complete your Bug Out look.
