Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a turn-based RPG developed by the French studio Sandfall Interactive, incorporating real-time elements during battles. Set in a dark fantasy world, the game's narrative revolves around the Paintress, a powerful being who annually paints a number on her monolith, causing everyone of that age to vanish. As the game begins, the Paintress is about to wake and paint the number 33. Players control Expedition 33, a group of 33-year-olds determined to stop the Paintress.
The combat system is a highlight, blending turn-based strategy with real-time actions such as dodging, parrying, and countering attacks.
