Commerce has always been a driving force of progress, and that's no different in *Assassin’s Creed Shadows*. However, not all business dealings are above board. If you're looking to track down all Iron Hand Guild members in *Assassin’s Creed Shadows*, this comprehensive guide is your starting point.
The Iron Hand in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Explained
The Iron Hand questline becomes available once Naoe masters the intricacies of the tea ceremony under the guidance of Imai Sokun, a respected businessman in Settsu. As the story unfolds, you'll reconnect with Imai Sokun, who alerts you to a syndicate impersonating House Imai for illicit gains. Your mission is to dismantle this secret merchant syndicate that's trying to undermine the legitimate House Imai. You'll need to hunt down five different merchants, each responsible for various business sectors. Whether you choose non-lethal or lethal methods is up to you.
How and Where To Find All Iron Hand Guild Members in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
As one of the initial objective boards in *Assassin’s Creed Shadows*, your task is to explore the world, uncover key locations, and use the clues provided to pinpoint your targets. This guide aims to streamline that process for you.
Merchant Tamao
Tamao, a dealer in contraband, isn't discreet about his activities. Bypass the intel-gathering and head straight to the Yamashiro region. Find Kyoto, the sprawling city at its center, and locate Honpoji Temple on the east side. From there, head west to find Tamao's brewery. Listen to the staff complaining about his refusal to come out. Smash the barrels in the courtyard to draw him out, then deal with him as you see fit before moving on to the next target.
Merchant Kanta
Deeper into the Iron Hand quest, you'll find that not all merchants are willingly part of the syndicate. Kanta, located in the Mouth of Seta in the Omi region, is one such case. You can choose to attack him or use the Observe mechanic to gather vital intel revealing his coercion by the guild. Spare him, and he'll become a captain in Imai Sokun's merchant fleet.
Merchant Ginroku
Ginroku deals in rare delicacies for the wealthiest families around Miyazu Bay. Head to the Tamba region, to the southwest of Miyazu Castle, across the bridge. You can choose to eliminate him for his part in the Iron Hand or search nearby huts for a crucial letter that could spare his life. If spared, he'll work with the real House Imai, gaining access to affluent clients in Sakai Port.
Merchant Kin-no-suke
Kin-no-suke's ostentatious displays of wealth and use of bandits to steal from competitors raise red flags. Travel to Obama in the Wakasa region, just east of the Trading Port, to confront him. Surrounded by bodyguards, you'll need to clear them out—perhaps with a smoke bomb and swift assassinations—before dealing with Kin-no-suke himself.
Iron Hand
Once all other guild members are dealt with, you'll uncover the location of the Iron Hand, the syndicate's leader, in Tamba's Fukuchiyama Castle. Be prepared for a challenging fight to reach him. Approach from the south side of the castle walls. Given the heavy guard presence, it's wise to pick them off stealthily before confronting the Iron Hand directly. After defeating him, return to Imai Sokun to claim your rewards.
