Secure an Early Advantage in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 with the Free Dogwood Village Bow!
Early in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, resources are scarce. This guide shows you how to obtain the Dogwood Village Bow early and without spending a single groat.
After parting ways with Hans, your path to the wedding involves securing a job – either blacksmith or miller. Regardless of your chosen profession, the blacksmith's location conveniently marks the bow's whereabouts on your map. Even if you opt for the miller's path, finding this bow is a worthwhile detour.
The blacksmith's forge is situated in Tachov, north of Troskowitz (the prologue's end point). West of Troskowitz, follow the road north. At the fork where a smaller road branches west, look right, towards a cluster of trees. A small training area is concealed within.
You'll find a target riddled with arrows (free ammo!). To the right of the target, against a tree trunk, rests the Dogwood Village Bow. Help yourself to the nearby brew and mushrooms as well.
Alternative Acquisition:
While purchasable from Huntsman's Son Vitek in Tachov, the Dogwood Village Bow isn't the most powerful ranged weapon. Considering its proximity to the free bow, buying it is inefficient. However, Vitek offers superior weapons, and you can supplement your income through alchemy.
Regardless of your weapon choice, a ranged option significantly improves combat, especially given the game's fixed difficulty. Melee combat may not suit all players.
After acquiring the bow, resume your questline. Whether you choose the blacksmith or miller path, the bow provides a distinct combat advantage.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
