In the immersive world of Freedom Wars Remastered, players are constantly navigating the confines of holding cells and The Warren within the Panopticon. However, the real thrill comes from confronting the towering Abductors—formidable adversaries that demand the use of every strategic tool and weapon available.
Freedom Wars Remastered equips Sinners with a diverse arsenal, each designed to tip the scales during these high-stakes encounters. Among these, the Flare Knife stands out as a crucial item for effectively combating the Abductors. Below, we dive into how players can obtain and wield the Flare Knife to their advantage.
How To Get Flare Knife In Freedom Wars Remastered
Acquiring the Flare Knife is straightforward and can be done early in your gameplay journey. Once you achieve Level 003 Code Clearance, make your way to Zakka in The Warren. This vendor stocks a variety of weapons and combat items, including the Flare Knife, which you can purchase for 3,000 Entitlement Points.
To equip this vital tool, navigate to the Loadout menu within the Personal Responsibility Portal. Here, you'll find an available slot under Combat Items where the Flare Knife can be selected and equipped, ready for your next battle.
How To Use Flare Knife In Freedom Wars Remastered
The Flare Knife is described as a reusable combat tool, perfect for severing the parts of Abductors. This feature is especially beneficial for players who favor Polearms or Heavy Melee weapons, as it allows them to sever limbs without switching to Light Melee weapons. However, remember that each Flare Knife is a one-time-use item, so you'll need to stock up before your next Operation.
To effectively use the Flare Knife, lock onto a severable part of the Abductor and use your Thorn to pull yourself toward it. If the Flare Knife is in your active slot, you'll be prompted to initiate the severing process. This involves a quick QTE segment where you must rapidly press a designated button to deplete a severing bar. Success results in the part being severed, but be wary—Abductors can leap or crash into walls to disrupt your efforts.
For an enhanced experience during online play, coordinate with friends to repeatedly snare the Abductor, making the severing process smoother and more manageable.
