Way of the Hunter: Wild America is coming to mobile devices, bringing its expansive open-world hunting experience to a new platform. PC players are already familiar with its acclaimed gameplay. Developed by Nine Rocks Games and originally released on PC and consoles in August 2022, the mobile version is currently in beta testing, with a launch planned soon by THQ Nordic and HandyGames.
What to Expect in the Mobile Version:
While some graphical adjustments are expected given the limitations of mobile hardware compared to high-end PCs, the core gameplay and all DLC will be included post-launch. HandyGames has announced a closed beta test via a signup form on their official X account.
A Top-Tier Hunting Simulator?
Way of the Hunter challenges players with realistic hunting mechanics, requiring patience and strategic thinking. Animals behave naturally, reacting to your presence and actions. The game features vast open-world environments inspired by the US and Europe, offering a substantial 55-square-mile hunting ground.
Players can utilize a variety of authentic weapons, from rifles to bows, and employ advanced tracking techniques like blood splatter analysis to locate their quarry. The game's ecosystem is dynamic; over-hunting in one area will cause animals to relocate.
An in-game economy allows players to sell harvested meat to purchase better equipment, hunting licenses, and taxidermy trophies for their lodge. Both campaign and co-op modes are available, and the mobile version will offer full controller support.
