Monitoring your Fortnite spending is crucial to avoid unexpected expenses. This guide shows you how to track your V-Buck purchases.
How to Check Your Fortnite Spending
There are two primary methods: reviewing your Epic Games Store account and utilizing the Fortnite.gg website. Staying informed about your spending prevents financial surprises.
Why Track Spending? Even small, frequent purchases can accumulate quickly. Consider the case of a Candy Crush player who unknowingly spent nearly $800 in three months, vastly exceeding their estimated $50.
Here's how to check your Fortnite spending:
Check Your Epic Games Store Account
All V-Buck transactions, regardless of platform or payment method, are recorded in your Epic Games Store account. Follow these steps:
- Visit the Epic Games Store website and log in.
- Click your username (top right).
- Select "Account," then "Transactions."
- On the "Purchase" tab, scroll through transactions (click "Show More" as needed).
- Identify entries showing "5,000 V-Bucks" (and associated currency amounts).
- Record V-Buck and currency values. Use a calculator to sum both for your total spending.
Important Notes: Free Epic Games Store games will appear in transactions. V-Bucks card redemptions might not show a dollar amount.
Use Fortnite.gg
As highlighted by Dot Esports, Fortnite.gg offers a method for tracking purchases (though it doesn't automatically detect them):
- Go to Fortnite.gg and log in (or create an account).
- Navigate to "My Locker."
- Manually add each purchased outfit and item from your Cosmetics section (click the item, then "+ Locker"). You can search for items.
- Your locker will display the total V-Buck value of your items. Use a V-Buck to dollar converter for an approximate cost.
Neither method is perfect, but they provide ways to track your Fortnite spending.
Fortnite is available on various platforms, including Meta Quest 2 and 3.
