Mother Nature: EcoDash, a new endless runner for Android, tackles environmental pollution head-on. Developed by BOM (Birmingham Open Media), a UK-based immersive arts organization, this game is a unique collaboration. Eleven to eighteen-year-old girls from Powered by CAN, a youth project, significantly contributed to the game's design, influencing everything from its visual style to its gameplay mechanics.
What Makes Mother Nature: EcoDash Stand Out?
Players embody Mother Nature, a Black female scientist, tasked with purifying the city and rescuing animals from the clutches of Smog, the villainous antagonist bent on environmental destruction. Gameplay involves dodging pollution, collecting air purifiers to maintain a safe smog level, and avoiding engulfment by toxic clouds.
Beyond the core running and jumping mechanics, EcoDash incorporates rescue missions. Players encounter endangered animals needing assistance throughout the city, ultimately releasing them back into the rainforest, their natural habitat.
BOM's objective was to present complex environmental issues like climate change and air pollution in a fun, accessible manner. The game is enhanced with various power-ups, shields, and bonus items to aid players in their mission.
Mother Nature: EcoDash offers a compelling blend of simple gameplay and a powerful message. Download it from the Google Play Store today!
