FromSoftware's upcoming title will grant early access exclusively to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S players. Registration opens January 10th, with testing slated for February. This excludes a large segment of the fanbase from early access.
Bandai Namco hasn't publicly explained the omission of PC players from this initial testing phase. However, those selected will enjoy a first look at the game before its official launch.
Elden Ring: Nightreign continues the narrative of its predecessor, offering new challenges within a dark and ominous setting. Console gamers have the early access advantage, while PC users await news on potential future testing opportunities.
A notable change in Elden Ring: Nightreign is the removal of the in-game message feature. Director Junya Ishizaki cited time constraints as the reason. With each play session lasting approximately forty minutes, there's insufficient time to utilize the messaging system.
"The messaging function has been removed due to the limited playtime of roughly forty minutes per session, making it impractical to send or read messages," Ishizaki stated.
