Unravel the mystery of your father's disappearance in the upcoming point-and-click adventure game, My Father Lied, launching May 30th!
Ahmed Alameen, writer and filmmaker, presents his debut title: a narrative-driven puzzle game inspired by Mesopotamian history. Step into the shoes of Huda, a young woman whose investigation into her father's twenty-year-old disappearance takes a dramatic turn upon discovering a previously unknown brother.
Alameen, initially collaborating on the project, took the reins as a solo developer, mastering game design to complete his vision. Gameplay involves classic point-and-click mechanics: explore richly detailed environments, piece together images, crack codes, and solve puzzles. The game's aesthetic blends the atmosphere of Myst, the intrigue of Heaven's Vault, and the literary style of H.P. Lovecraft.
Alameen employed a unique approach to visuals, combining 2D and 360-degree images, even for the meticulously crafted frame-by-frame cutscenes. This innovative method ensures high-quality graphics, playable even on lower-end PCs.
My Father Lied arrives on May 30th for $10.99/€ on the App Store, Google Play, and Steam. Add it to your Steam Wishlist now! While mobile pre-registration isn't yet available, stay updated by following Lunar Games on X, Discord, TikTok, or Instagram. Plus, a Kickstarter campaign is on the horizon – keep an eye out!
