Pokémon Go's Holiday Part One event kicks off December 17th and runs through the 22nd, bringing festive cheer and exciting challenges. Expect double XP for catching Pokémon and halved egg hatching distances.
This event introduces a costumed Dedenne (with a shiny variant!), and the first-ever appearance of Shiny Sandygast. Keep an eye out for Alolan Sandshrew, Swinub, and Darumaka in the wild. Raids feature festive Pokémon like a Winter Carnival Pikachu and a holiday Psyduck in one-star raids, while three-star raids include Glaceon in an Undersea Holiday outfit and Cryogonal. Mega Latias and Mega Latios will also be featured in Mega Raids.
7km Eggs hold the possibility of hatching Hisuian Growlithe or a ribbon-adorned Cubchoo. Rewards abound through event-themed Field Research, a paid Timed Research ($2.00), Collection Challenges (offering Stardust and Poké Balls), and PokéStop Showcases.
