This February, Pokémon GO hosts a special Gigantamax Kingler Max Battle Day event. This guide covers start times, bonuses, exclusive rewards, and essential tips to maximize your experience.
Event Details:
- Date & Time: Saturday, February 1, 2025, 2 PM to 5 PM local time. Gigantamax Kingler appears in six-star Max Battles, with a chance to encounter a Shiny Kingler.
Event Bonuses:
- During the event (2 PM - 5 PM):
- Increased Max Particle collection limit to 1,600.
- All Power Spots host Gigantamax Battles.
- More frequent Power Spot refreshes.
- 8x Max Particles from Power Spots.
- From 12 AM to 5 PM:
- 2x Max Particles from exploring.
- 1/4 adventuring distance required for Max Particles (requires collecting all nearby Max Particles first).
Remember: To activate the reduced adventuring distance and doubled exploration Max Particles, collect all visible Max Particles from the Nearby menu beforehand.
Exclusives & Tickets:
A $5 (or equivalent) Timed Research is available during the event (2 PM - 5 PM), offering:
- 1 Max Mushroom
- 25,000 XP
- Additional bonuses: 2x XP from Max Battles and increased Max Particle collection limit to 5,600.
Tickets can be purchased and gifted to Great Friends or higher, but are only available until 4 PM local time and are non-refundable.
Tips for Success:
- Utilize Max Mushrooms: These double your Dynamax/Gigantamax Pokémon's damage in Max Battles. Multiple uses are possible, but they don't stack the damage multiplier.
- Team Up: Use Campfire to find Max Battles and fellow Trainers for cooperative battles.
