Get ready for the return of the Roland-Garros eSeries in 2025! Following last year's thrilling competition, this year's tournament promises even more excitement, with a new team-based format, legendary tennis captains, and a €5,000 prize pool up for grabs. Renault and Mastercard are back as key sponsors, and players can even customize their characters with official Roland-Garros 2025 outfits and the special Renault 5 Roland-Garros string.
When Does It Start?
The Roland-Garros eSeries kicks off in March with open qualifiers. Players will battle it out across three qualifying stages: March 6-11, March 20-25, and April 3-8. These stages will determine the finalists. The top female players from the first two qualifiers automatically advance, joining the overall winners. The grand finale takes place on May 24th at the Roland-Garros Tenniseum Auditorium, with live spectators and a Twitch stream for those watching from home.
What’s New This Year?
This year brings a major change: a team-based format! Finalists will compete in teams, each captained by a French tennis legend. Gilles Simon, former ATP world No. 6 and Davis Cup champion, is already confirmed as a captain. His rival captain remains a mystery, but organizers have hinted it’s a Grand Slam winner—intrigue abounds! Simon, a commentator since 2023 and a 2024 Top 8 competitor, will bring his expertise to the coaching role.
Are You Excited for the Roland-Garros eSeries 2025?
The competition will be fierce. The winning team from the initial phase advances to the winner’s bracket of a double-elimination tournament, while the losing team begins in the loser’s bracket. Alessandro ΔLEX Bianco, the reigning champion, returns to defend his title, joined by the two Grand Tour finalists. With 548,000 participants from 215 territories last year, expect an even more intense competition this year.
