Square Enix has delighted fans by releasing SaGa Frontier 2: Remastered on mobile and other platforms. Originally launched on the PlayStation in 1999 in Japan and in 2000 in North America and Europe, this remaster brings back the beloved game with upgraded visuals and new content, enhancing the experience for both new and returning players.
SaGa Frontier 2: Remastered Is Now Available on Android
SaGa Frontier 2 is set in the enchanting world of Sandail, where magic is powered by a mysterious force known as Anima. The game follows the intertwined stories of two protagonists. Gustave, a royal who lacks the ability to use magic, and William Knights, a young adventurer from a family of diggers who seek ancient relics called Quells.
Gustave's journey begins when he is exiled from the Kingdom of Finney for his inability to harness Anima, a crucial element in their society. On the other hand, William, known as Wil, embarks on a quest to uncover the truth behind his parents' mysterious death and the enigmatic relic known as the Egg, which has the power to manipulate minds.
SaGa Frontier 2: Remastered enhances the original game's graphics with higher resolution, making the watercolor backgrounds even more vivid and crisp. The user interface has been redesigned to improve navigation while maintaining the classic feel that fans love.

What Else Is New?
In addition to the visual upgrades, the remastered version includes new stories that seamlessly integrate with the original plot. The combat system remains a highlight, offering three distinct types of battles: Party Battles, Duels, and Warfare. Party Battles follow the traditional RPG format, while Duels are intense one-on-one confrontations where strategic moves are crucial.
Warfare introduces large-scale strategic clashes, adding depth to the combat experience. The system avoids repetitive battles by requiring different approaches for each type of fight. The remaster also reintroduces the glimmer system from the original game, allowing players to learn new techniques during combat, and the combo mechanic that rewards players for chaining attacks with their team.
