Sony has recently unveiled the PC specifications for *The Last of Us Part II Remastered*, set to release on April 3, alongside details about PSN sign-in incentives and exciting new content additions to the No Return Mode for both PC and PlayStation 5 platforms. In a detailed post on the PlayStation Blog, Naughty Dog shared insights into the features that support studios Nixxes Software and Iron Galaxy have incorporated into the PC version, which is launching a year after its PS5 debut.
The Last of Us Part II Remastered PC Features:

Additionally, the game supports Ultrawide monitors, allowing players to enjoy the game in 21:9 ultra-wide, 32:9 super ultra-wide, and even 48:9 resolutions, compatible with triple-monitor setups. Players can also experience the game in 4K resolution, with support for various controllers, keyboard, and mouse inputs, as well as 3D audio.
Keyboard and mouse controls come with new customization options, including full control remapping, primary and secondary bindings, and an adaptive mode that blends keyboard and controller inputs. For those using DualSense controllers, the game offers full haptic feedback. Sony emphasized that *The Last of Us Part II Remastered* on PC is designed to provide an optimized experience across a wide range of hardware, from high-end PCs to handheld gaming devices.
The Last of Us Part 2 PC Specs:
Moving on to the No Return mode, Naughty Dog is introducing two new characters: Bill and Marlene from *The Last of Us Part I*. Bill adopts a "Smuggler" playstyle, equipped with a custom pump shotgun accessible from dead drops and receiving double rewards from drops. He's more resilient against melee attacks but lacks the ability to dodge. Marlene, on the other hand, embodies a "Risk Taker" playstyle, featuring a Custom Assault Rifle, "All or Nothing" gambits, and the ability to reroute her No Return path once per run.
Four new maps are also being added to No Return mode: Overlook, set high above Seattle with vertical gameplay; School, an abandoned elementary school from the campaign; Streets, set in the overgrown Hillcrest neighborhood; and Nest, familiar to players who played as Abby in an Infected-infested building. These additions aim to enhance the variability and excitement of the mode.
All the new No Return content, along with new Trophies and bug fixes, will be available on PS5 simultaneously with the PC launch through a free downloadable 2.0.0 patch.
In line with Sony's recent policy change regarding PlayStation Network requirements, *The Last of Us Part II Remastered* on PC features an optional PSN log-in. Logging in to PSN grants access to the PlayStation overlay and PSN Trophies, and as an incentive, players receive 50 in-game points to unlock bonus features and a new skin for Ellie, featuring Jordan A. Mun’s jacket from Naughty Dog’s upcoming PS5 game, *Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet*.
PS5 players can also unlock Jordan’s jacket skin through the 2.0 patch using in-game bonus points.
Earlier this month, Neil Druckmann, the director of *The Last of Us*, shared more about *Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet* in an interview with Alex Garland. Druckmann revealed that the game, which has been in development for four years, explores themes of faith and religion in an alternate historical timeline, starring Tati Gabrielle as Jordan A. Mun.
The PC release of *The Last of Us Part II Remastered* comes ahead of Season 2 of HBO's acclaimed TV adaptation, where showrunners Druckmann and Craig Mazin have confirmed the return of spores, which were omitted from Season 1.
