World of Warcraft Classic is gearing up for the exciting conclusion of its Season of Discovery with the seventh and final phase set to launch on January 28. This update promises to bring thrilling new content, including the Karazhan Crypts dungeon and the Scourge Invasions event, which will undoubtedly enhance the gameplay experience for all WoW Classic enthusiasts. Just over a week later, on February 6, guilds will have the opportunity to tackle the legendary Naxxramas raid, promising new challenges and twists to conquer.
Phase 7 will follow closely on the heels of Phase 6, which took players back to the sands of Silithus for the Scepter of the Shifting Sands quest chain and the Ahn'qiraj raids. During these adventures, many players encountered a mysterious Shadowy Figure lurking around the desert ruins. While there was speculation that this figure might be Xal'atath, the main antagonist of World of Warcraft: The War Within, the NPC offered only cryptic comments about the Old Gods. Whether this enigmatic character will make a final appearance in Phase 7 remains a tantalizing mystery.
Although Phase 7 marks the end of the Season of Discovery, World of Warcraft Classic players can look forward to a host of new challenges. The update will go live on Tuesday, January 28, following server maintenance. Once the servers are back online, players can dive into the new Karazhan Crypts 5-player dungeon located in Deadwind Pass. This dungeon will take adventurers beneath the iconic Karazhan tower, a location that later became a 10-player raid in The Burning Crusade. Alongside this, the Scourge Invasions event will see hordes of undead monsters swarming various zones and cities in Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms. Players can engage in new Scourge Invasion quests at Light's Hope Chapel in the Eastern Plaguelands and collect Necrotic Runes from defeated undead foes to acquire new consumable items.
