While the World of Warcraft 20th Anniversary event has concluded, exciting in-game activities continue! Following a similar pattern to Dragonflight's inter-patch period, the Turbulent Timeways event is back, offering a unique reward for dedicated players.
Turbulent Timeways Event Details
Instead of the usual staggered Timewalking events, Turbulent Timeways features five consecutive weeks of Timewalking dungeons, running from January 1st to February 25th. Each week highlights dungeons from a different expansion:
- Week 1: Mists of Pandaria (January 7th-14th)
- Week 2: Warlords of Draenor (January 14th-21st)
- Week 3: Legion (January 21st-28th)
- Week 4: Classic (January 28th-February 4th)
- Week 5: The Burning Crusade (February 4th-11th)
- Week 6: Wrath of the Lich King (February 11th-18th)
- Week 7: Cataclysm (February 18th-25th)
Completing a Timewalking dungeon awards a stack of the "Knowledge of Timeways" buff. This two-hour buff (not lost on death) provides a 5% experience bonus for questing and mob kills. Four stacks upgrade to "Mastery of Timeways," a three-hour buff (also persistent through death) granting a 30% experience boost. Completing another Timewalking dungeon refreshes the buff timer.
To achieve Mastery of Timeways, maintain four stacks of Knowledge of Timeways without letting them expire. Avoid extended AFK periods to prevent losing progress. Expiration before reaching four stacks requires restarting the process.
Turbulent Timeways Rewards
Beyond the leveling benefits, Turbulent Timeways offers valuable rewards. The Sandy Shalewing mount, previously available during Dragonflight's Turbulent Timeways, is purchasable from Timewalking vendors for 5,000 Timewarped Badges.
Additionally, a new mount, the Timely Buzzbee, awaits players who obtain the Mastery of Timeways buff during five of the seven event weeks.
