Although optional, completing this quest is highly recommended, especially considering a Nightmare Echo is trapped within Fagaceae Peninsula's stormy ruins. Prepare your strongest Resonators; this is a substantial undertaking.
"Where Wind Returns to Celestial Realms" Walkthrough
This exploration quest is combat-heavy. Begin at the ruined base south of Shores of Last Breath, activating the broken Lumiscale Construct. The quest objectives are:
- Activate three steles at designated locations.
- Defeat the Lumiscale Construct (first encounter).
- Chase and defeat the Lumiscale Construct (second encounter).
- Defeat the Dragon of Dirge.
Activating the Steles
Stand on the glowing circle at each altar to charge the Discipline Steles. Enemies interrupting this process will slow progress, so eliminate them swiftly. Moving too far from an altar will cause its energy to deplete.
Utilize the 2.0 update's enhanced elemental damage and status effects to your advantage during combat. For the third stele, quickly position it before enemy spawns. If you struggle to interact with the broken steles, adjust your character and camera angle until a prompt appears.
Pursuing and Defeating the Lumiscale Construct
Use your strongest Resonators to defeat the Lumiscale Construct at the starting area. A cutscene will initiate once its health is low, leading you deeper into the ruins.
The environment becomes more hazardous during the chase. Evade falling debris and lightning strikes while eliminating enemies. A final confrontation with the Lumiscale Construct awaits, concluding this stage.
Confronting the Dragon of Dirge
The Dragon of Dirge is a formidable opponent capable of one-shotting unprepared characters. Dodge its breath attacks and falling stars, aiming for stuns whenever possible. Prioritize dodging powerful attacks and creating openings for stuns.
Defeating the dragon completes the quest, unlocking access to the remaining areas of Shores of Last Breath, including Dream Patrols and Nightmare Tempest Mephis in the northern arena.
