This app provides audio-visual Sunday School lessons based on materials from the AIC Sunday School Committee in Juba, South Sudan, adapted for broader use by Global Recordings Network Australia. Designed to complement Global Recordings Network's audio-visual picture books (also available in the 5fish app), these lessons offer a vital visual aid for teaching.
Key App Features:
- Extensive Lesson Library: Contains 226 Bible lessons across 9 books, based on the "Good News" and "Look, Listen, and Live" programs.
- Searchable Content: Easily find lessons using the title search function.
- Comprehensive Teacher Support: Includes detailed teacher instructions for each lesson.
- Audio and Visual Integration: Features English audio recordings for each lesson story and accompanying pictures.
- Offline Accessibility: Use the lessons offline (audio requires an internet connection).
Lesson Structure and Approach:
Each lesson is designed for approximately twenty minutes, focusing on a concise yet comprehensive overview. Teachers are encouraged to supplement the lessons with additional activities such as singing, prayer, Bible reading, and quizzes. A short prayer and song related to the lesson's theme are recommended for conclusion. The lessons target a broad age range (7-12 years).
Initially designed for concise weekly teaching, some lessons have been expanded. The app provides a framework, allowing teachers to personalize their preparation. Each lesson's aim is clearly stated, focusing on one or two key truths about God to aid gradual understanding. The lesson text is intended as a guide for the teacher, not a script to be read verbatim to the class.
