LEGO’s foray into video games began nearly 31 years ago with LEGO Fun to Build on the SEGA Pico. Since then, games built around these iconic Danish bricks and minifigures have blossomed into a genre unto themselves, largely thanks to Traveller’s Tales’ addictive blend of action-platforming and the countless pop-culture properties they’ve LEGO-fied. Narrowing down the best was a challenge, but we’re proud to present our Top 10 LEGO games—so far! Don't forget to check out the newly released LEGO Fortnite.

It might be tricky to find now, but the trip to LEGO Island is worth it—just watch out for the Brickster!
9. LEGO The Lord of the Rings
LEGO The Lord of the Rings cleverly uses audio from the films, creating a uniquely silly yet respectful experience. Witness Boromir's death scene with bananas—it's surprisingly fresh and funny! A large roster including book characters like Tom Bombadil, plus the usual LEGO puzzle-solving and action, makes this a contender for the one LEGO game to rule them all (well, almost).
