Navigating the Kentucky BioTech Facility
The mission begins with a jarring descent into a toxic-gas-filled Kentucky BioTech facility. After an elevator malfunction and a resulting hallucination, you'll find yourself needing to escape. Locate a locked red-lit door. Use a hatchet (found on a mannequin) to force it open. Proceed through the hallway, up the stairs, and to the central elevator.
Accessing the Biotechnology Room
Activating the elevator triggers a zombie encounter (hallucinations, remember?). Eliminate them with your hatchet. A phone call from the circular desk directs you to the biotechnology room, requiring four director's cards (Red, Green, Blue, Yellow). You'll initially receive a map to the Yellow card.
Acquiring the Yellow Card and Grappling Hook
Follow the map to a yellow staircase leading to the Director's office. Solve the computer puzzle ("Access" and "Lift"). More zombies await. The Yellow card is held by a mannequin that transforms into an abomination. Before engaging it, gather armor, weapons, and importantly, the grappling hook (essential for later sections). Use explosives (C4 or grenades) to efficiently eliminate the abomination and its horde. Retrieve the Yellow card.
Securing the Green Card
Use the grappling hook to ascend from the A.C.R. room. Next, acquire the Green card from the Administration Facility. Grapple to the facility's location; another phone call will guide you. Locate four documents and place them in the file display area. Mannequins will pursue; sprint to maintain distance. Document locations: desk corner, left side near a round table, small central table, and cafe near a sink. Defeat the resulting Mangler Zombie to obtain the Green card.
Obtaining the Blue Card
Grapple across to the Joint Projects Facility. Answer the ringing phone. Locate camera stands around a glass chamber containing the Blue card. Eliminate the Mimic that appears by shooting objects that seem to move to trigger its transformations.
Confronting the Mimic
Retrieving the Red Card
Head to the East Wing, following the red carpets and stairs. In the water-filled room, interact with the console to reveal the Red card held by a Mangler. Use the grappling hook to reach the upper area, swim through the red tunnel, and climb the ladders. Eliminate zombies and unlock a door using a blacklight-revealed code. Drain the water by activating switches within 25 seconds (one in the initial room, one in the unlocked room, and one accessible via the grappling hook). Defeat the Mangler and its horde to get the Red card.
Final Confrontation
Return to the security desk and insert all four cards. Ride the elevator, eliminating any pursuing zombies. Answer the red phone in the BioTech room and engage the final battle against the Disciple and a zombie horde. The mission concludes with a revealing hallucination sequence.
