Thunderful Group's recent financial report reveals a significant delay for the highly anticipated cyberpunk platformer, Replaced. Initially slated for a 2022 release, the game, developed by Sad Cat Studios, has faced multiple postponements, now projected to launch in 2026.
Previously, a 2025 release was announced by Sad Cat, citing the game's unique development challenges. The setbacks, however, extend further back to 2023 and then last year. Despite the delays, the studio remains dedicated to delivering a top-tier product, acknowledging the considerable anticipation surrounding Replaced.
First unveiled in 2021 during Microsoft's E3 presentation, Replaced has generated significant buzz. While Sad Cat has yet to officially address this latest delay, they've maintained communication with fans, offering glimpses of gameplay, including combat footage and a mini-game showcase earlier this year.
