Path of Exile 2's Hidden Golden Idols: A Guide to Finding and Selling Them
Path of Exile 2 features numerous quests, some less obvious than others. Act 3 introduces a unique challenge: collecting five Golden Idols. Unlike typical quest items, these don't appear in your quest log and offer a different reward. Instead of progressing a story arc, these idols are valuable sellable items.
Locating the Golden Idols
After exploring the Vaal ruins beneath the Ziggurat Encampment and traveling through a time portal, you'll find yourself in Utzaal, the Drowned City (its past glory). Here, and in the connected area Aggorat, you'll discover these idols. They're not random enemy drops; instead, they're found in side rooms or on pedestals.

Cashing In Your Idols
Once collected, return to Oswald in the north section of the Ziggurat Encampment. He's your buyer. Each idol fetches a significant sum:
- Golden Idol: 500 Gold
- Grand Idol: 1000 Gold
- Glorious Idol: 1500 Gold
- Elegant Idol: 1000 Gold
- Exceptional Idol: 1500 Gold
Finding all five nets you 6000 gold. Given their size and sole purpose as valuable trade goods, it's wise to sell them immediately to free up inventory space.
