In the gripping, horror-infused universe of *R.E.P.O.*, the right items can mean the difference between progression and a perilous detour to the Disposal Arena. Among these, Recharge Drones stand out as crucial assets for success. Let's delve into how you can obtain and utilize these vital tools effectively.
What Recharge Drones Do
In *R.E.P.O.*, the Service Station is stocked with various items, some of which are disposable, like Mines and Grenades. Others, however, come with a rechargeable "battery life," restored using Energy Crystals. Early in your journey, you'll spot a container-type object in your truck, designed for recharging weapons or drones. Each recharge consumes an Energy Crystal, which, upon purchase, seamlessly integrates into the container. To recharge an item, simply place it in the yellow bucket beside the container, allowing it to regain full health. This process is indispensable for maintaining your gear in peak condition, readying you for the challenges ahead.
Yet, as you navigate through increasingly demanding levels, your items may deplete faster than anticipated. While Energy Crystals can recharge them at designated spots, you're not always near your truck. This is where the Recharge Drone becomes invaluable, offering on-the-go energy management for your items.
How to Get and Use the Recharge Drone in R.E.P.O.
The Recharge Drone, like other items and upgrades, is available at the Service Station, accessible after successfully completing a level. Here, you can equip yourself with tools to ease your next challenge, provided you have the funds. Since items at the Service Station spawn randomly, it might take several visits before the Recharge Drone appears. Once it does, it's yours for between $4-5K. This compact cube occupies one inventory slot, so choose its position wisely (1, 2, or 3).
You'll notice your items' health via the battery bar beneath them. To recharge, select the drone, activate it with 'E', and attach the depleted item. Let the Recharge Drone work its magic. Once its battery is drained, you can recharge it using Energy Crystals back at the truck's container.
Now equipped with the knowledge of where to find and how to use the Recharge Drone in *R.E.P.O.*, you're better prepared to face the horrors that await.
