Contrary to rumors, SD Gundam G Generation Eternal is alive and well! A network test is imminent, opening up 1500 spots to US players. Applications are open now!
Gundam fans rejoice! The upcoming SD Gundam G Generation Eternal, the latest strategy JRPG in the franchise, is launching a network test accessible to players in the US, in addition to Japan, Korea, and Hong Kong. Applications are open until December 7th, granting 1500 lucky participants early access from January 23rd to 28th, 2025.
This SD Gundam title puts players in command of numerous iconic mecha pilots, engaging in grid-based strategic combat. The game boasts an extensive roster of mecha and characters from across the franchise's history.
While the Gundam franchise enjoys global recognition, the SD Gundam line, known for its "super deformed" (smaller, stylized) mecha kits, might be less familiar to some. These charming, compact versions of iconic mecha were once incredibly popular, even surpassing the original designs in popularity.
US Release Imminent
The new SD Gundam game is sure to excite Gundam enthusiasts. However, Bandai Namco's track record with the series has been somewhat inconsistent, with some titles falling short or being prematurely canceled. Let's hope SD Gundam G Generation Eternal (quite a mouthful!) proves to be a high-quality addition to the franchise.
