If you’re a fan of Japanese music, you’re probably familiar with HYDE. Known for his electrifying performances at venues like Madison Square Garden and his impressive sales of over 40 million records, HYDE now takes center stage in a thrilling new endless runner game, Hyde Run, which has just launched globally.
Originally released in Japan, Hyde Run is now available worldwide, thanks to the efforts of its developer and publisher, Phoenixx. This game offers global fans a unique way to engage with HYDE’s music through gameplay filled with references to his illustrious career.
Move, Jump, or Slide in Hyde Run
In Hyde Run, you'll navigate through a dynamic environment that blends a concert stage with a futuristic Tokyo. As HYDE, you'll dash through Neo Tokyo, dodging obstacles, performing wall-runs past vibrant billboards, and collecting musical notes. The game stands out with its neon-and-noise aesthetic, infused with the high energy of guitar solos and fan service dedicated to HYDE's fans.
During your runs, you can pick up various power-ups, such as magnets to attract more notes and barriers to shield you from damage. Before embarking on your run, you can equip items like Note Gain to increase your note collection or a Barrier to avoid tripping over obstacles.
Additionally, you can gather crystals to unlock exclusive outfits and room items inspired by HYDE’s career. Unlocking the Microphone Stand grants access to voice clips from HYDE himself.
