Early in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, you'll encounter a choice between two feuding settlements, Tachov and Zhelejov, each offering side quests. This guide clarifies whether to assist Prochek or Olbram in the "Mice" and "Frogs" quests.
Can You Help Both Prochek and Olbram in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*?
While Tachov and Zhelejov are locked in bitter rivalry, you can cleverly navigate both quest lines. Completing most tasks for both Prochek and Olbram is possible, providing a fuller understanding of the settlements' backstories. While a win-win outcome isn't achievable, this approach maximizes your experience.
Should You Choose Prochek or Olbram in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*?
If choosing a single side, the impact is negligible. Both aim to sabotage each other; the decision boils down to personal preference. Olbram's task involves a nighttime maypole theft, requiring stealth and potentially charming a guard. Prochek's mission involves painting a bull blue, necessitating dye acquisition from the tailor and a lullaby potion recipe from Radovan. Prochek's quest might prove more challenging early on, depending on your Speech skill and Groschen.
How to Start "Mice" for Prochek in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*
Initiate the "Mice" quest by speaking with Prochek in Tachov. If he's elusive, check the local inn; the innkeeper can direct you.
Obtaining the Dye and Lullaby Potion
Purchase dye from Bartoshek, the tailor in Troskowitz. For the lullaby potion, either work for Radovan (the blacksmith in Tachov) or charm the recipe from him. The recipe needs oil, poppy, and thistle, obtainable from the apothecary garden in Troskowitz. Once brewed, administer the potion to the bull in Zhelejov, paint it, and report back to Prochek.
How to Start "Frogs" for Olbram in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*
Find Olbram near the meadow in Zhelejov. Agree to retrieve the maypole to begin the "Frogs" quest.
Stealing the Maypole
Proceed to Tachov in the evening. Approach the maypole cautiously. Henrik guards it; you can knock him out or, with sufficient Speech, persuade him to leave his post for a rendezvous, allowing you to acquire the maypole. Return to Olbram to complete this stage. He'll then request you chase sheep from a Tachov pasture and deliver a digestive potion to Alshik.
You can choose to complete Olbram's requests or inform Prochek of Olbram's plans, concluding both quests.
